Intergalactic Cage Match
Intergalactic Cage Match was released by Mastertronic in 1987 and was the
worst game I have played on the c64. I'm sure there were worse
games made, but this is the poorest one that I have had the misfortune of
playing. Not only were the graphics subpar, but the animation was
absolutely horrible and the music was equally bad. This was also one of
the extremely few games that Compute's Gazette actually gave a bad review
to. Compute's Gazette hardly ever badmouthed a game because I assume they didn't
want to lose advertising dollars. I remember thinking that this would be a cool
wrestling game to play, especially since it was in a cage, but it didn't take longer
than about 5 seconds to discover how wrong I was. If you've never seen or played
this game, count yourself lucky.

Kid Niki
Kid Niki is probably the worst arcade conversion I have seen for the c64, although
Karnov and Ikari Warriors(USA Version) are worthy contenders for that crown. Not
surprisingly, all 3 of those games were made by Data East. I can't really decide
which part of Kid Niki is the worst, the graphics (which look like they were done
with a program like Koala Pad) are very poor, the gameplay is extremely bad, and the
sound effects are what you'd expect from an old Atari 2600 game. If you've played
this game at the arcade, you'd find it hard to believe that this is supposed to be a
conversion of it.
