Frogger 93

[Frogger
93]

Frogger 93 is basically the classic frogger game with slightly better graphics than the original c64 version. For those of you who haven't played it before, basically the idea is to cross a road filled with moving cars and to make it to the other side of the stream by hopping on moving logs and turtles. Although the game is pretty repetitive, it's fun to play for a while.

Zorro

[Zorro]

Zorro was released by Datasoft in 1985 and the basic object of the game is to collect various objects that you will use to ultimately win the love of a woman. The objects throughout the game are used creatively, for example, you will get a bottle of beer which you give to a man to get him drunk. After drinking the beer he passes out and you can bounce on his stomach. If the game sounds strange, it isn't, but it is fun to play, although the music gets rather annoying after a few minutes.

Blood and Guts

[Blood and
Guts]

Blood and Guts is a great game in which you compete in various barbaric olympic events. Some of the events include tower jumping, ale drinking, and everyone's favorite the cat throw. The graphics are pretty good and overall the game is very entertaining.

The Scrolls of Abadon

[The Scrolls
of Abadon]

The Scrolls of Abadon is a great game that was released by Access Software in 1984. The object of the game is to collect all of the crystals on the board while avoiding the enemies. As you walk around collecting the crystals you leave a path of arrows behind, which you have to follow on higher levels. There are also scrolls that you can find on certain levels that will help you with the game, such as a scroll that lets you walk against the arrows. The graphics may not be the best but overall it's an entertaining game.

Agent USA

[Agent
USA]

Agent USA was another one of my favorite childhood games. The basic plot of the game is to find the location of a giant fuzzbomb and stop it from fuzzing the world. This is not an easy task though, you have to have 100 crystals to blow up the fuzzbomb and you only start the game with 10. You have to get the rest by growing them on the ground, while keeping wandering people from stealing them. You also lose half of your crystals if you get touched by a fuzzed person, which is tough to avoid when you get near the fuzzbomb. This is a pretty challenging game and it is also somewhat educational. I used to play this game in elementary school and it helped me learn where different cities were located.

Castle Wolfenstein

Castle
Wolfenstein]

Castle Wolfenstein was released in 1984 and was another game that I used to play alot. The main object of the game was to find the nazi war plans and escape from the castle. Along the way you might find a chest full of nazi uniforms that you could wear to fool the guards, or a chest full of sauerkraut to eat after working up a big appetite killing nazis. There were also SS stormtroopers that would hunt you down until either you or they were killed, and when you killed one you had the option of taking their bulletproof vest. This game was alot of fun and worth playing if you haven't before.

The Games - Summer Edition

[Summer
Edition]

The Games - Summer Edition was released by Epyx during the summer of 1988. It was supposed to be similar to the original Summer Games series but with better graphics and gameplay. I'd say that the graphics look similar to the original series, but not a great overall improvement as I had expected. Overall though it is a decent game and worth trying. And unlike most of the other copies of the game I've seen floating around the net, this version actually works. I can't guarantee it works on a PAL c64 though, but it runs great on my NTSC c64.

Bruce Lee

[Bruce
Lee]

Bruce Lee was another one of the earliest games I ever played on my c64. This game is alot of fun to play for a variety of reasons, such as performing a running drop-kick on the green sumo guy and the black ninja. The main object of the game is to go throughout the levels and collect lanterns. The game is also very fun to play with a friend because one of you can control Bruce Lee and the other person can control the green sumo guy. A PC remake of this game has been made, click here to download that.

Krakout

[Krakout]

Krakout is a very good breakout style game. The main difference between this and the typical breakout games is that the action flows from left to right instead of from top to bottom. There are also the usual enemies and powerups that a good breakout game couldn't be without. Overall a very fun game to play, and the music is good too.
